12.00  Registration opens in the hotel foyer.

           Light lunch can be served in the Hotel restaurant at own expense.

 

13.00 MC-meeting (ISO’s Management Committee), MC-members only.

 

13.30 Spouses or interested early registrants can participate in a guided sight-seeing and shopping-  

          tour, Copenhagen City, Christiansborg Castle, Queen’s Gobelins etc. Bus/Taxi back.

 

18-24 Get-together, SPISEHUSET. Welcome drink.

          IS-O-Lympic Games start!

          There will be a large, cold buffet and bar open all evening.

          Those who in advance has registered their interest in the competitions will during the

          evening participate in the chosen disciplines, hopefully under the audience’s heavy cheers!

 

          At the early registration in advance of the Congress, all participants may indicate, in which

          disciplines they want to compete, and whether they do it individually or as a national or

          company team member, and all earn points for both their efforts and results.                                              Welcome to the arrival Terminal, Copenhagen Airport

          Choose among Bowling, Riffle shooting, Boule/Petanque, Football (indoor teams of 2x3),          

          Basket-“dunk”, Swimming (in the mornings), Wall-climbing, Poker and Shopping (until

          Saturday afternoon included).

Friday, April 15

7-8.15 Breakfast, an area in the Restaurant is for ISO members only, so we can remind ourselves

           and each other of  the previous night’s successes!

 

8.30    Bus departure. Visit to Fritz Hansen Furniture factory in Allerød, the Arne Jacobsen “7”

           chairs etc. Modern, automated manufacturing in an all new factory.

           ITAB check-out production/assembly and showroom, Danish branch of Scandinavia’s

           largest shopfitting group of companies, BLB and NBF members.

 

11.30  Juncker’s Industries, Køge, The largest sawmill in Europe for solid wood floors.

           Demonstration of the manufactoring, waste problems and product information.                                                          

           Lunch.

           Spouses’  programme: Guided tour of old Køge, visit to the “Sketch Collection” (Queens

           Gobelins, the original cast for the Little Mermaid), The Church, Denmark’s oldest house etc.   

           Lunch.

 

           Spouses and delegates are picked up for the return trip via....

15.00  Flash-Light A/S, Karlslunde, shop light systems, showroom and introduction, refreshments.

           On request: A brief stop at an attractive, new Shopping Centre or Flagship Store along the   

           route, but most important:

    

           Arrival back at DGI Byen Hotel in time for changing.....       

 

19.30  TIVOLI’s opening night 2005! We walk 10 minutes at the most through the Central Station.

           Diner at Restaurant Paafuglen.

           Plenty of varied amusements and free entertainment is optional, including big fireworks by

           midnight. The Tivoli Gardens close at 01.oo. Sorry, but we all need to get up early!

 

Saturday April 16, The Danish Queen Margrethe’s birthday, Flags all over town!

9 -10.  General Assembly  -  ISO business.

           Economic state in the member countries. Questions and answers!

10-12  Business seminars incl. coffee-break:

           1: China, outsourcing, sourcing, and/or a complete new market?

               The ISO interior contractors’ factfinding tour and Shanghai exhibition June/July 2004.

           2: Former East Europe, New EU-Member countries, outsorcing, sourcing, shopfitting.

           3: Panel discussion:  Moderator, speakers and experts: Advantages in China, Poland,    

                                             Czechia, Hungary, Slovenia etc.? New experiences from Euroshop ’05?

               (Questions and answers in French or German are translated by members of the audience)                                                                                                                                                                                      Qeen’s birthday, Amalienborg Castle

 


12.30  Bus departure for Field’s, Scandinavia’s largest AND newest “shopping experience” mall,

           designer Arne Jacobsens lounge, information about the Center and/or individual stroll

           around, lunch with spouses there or later....

 

9 -13   Spouses programme: StrøgetCopenhagen, Royal Scandinavia, Illum, Magasin or other

           stores that first time visitors to Copenhagen might want to see (and that we did not catch on

           thursday), Gobelins at Christiansborg Castle, The Guard’s change at the Royal Castle, the

           Little Mermaid and the new Opera seen from across the harbour, and then.....

           The new METRO to Field’s in Ørestaden, lunch altogether there or later.

           Scandinavia’s tallest house, 190 m. 56 floors (a new design trend or?), and on to Center Syd:

           Southern Sweden’s largest competition RETAIL PARK constructed on the open field, far

           from ANY customers! Open all Saturdays and Sundays, It is so big for a suburban center,

           that we suggest pre-selection of stores according to individual interests:

 

           - Go as you please with friends and colleagues!

           - Food: ICA Maxi, Willys, Lidl etc. Watch their “cut-throat” competition.        

           - Home/D.I.Y: My Home, MIO, Bauhaus, BYGG-MAX, Harald Nyborg etc. Furniture stores                                                                                                  

            on IKEA owned land, but no Ikea, come and hear why!                                                                          The Copenhagen Opera, open Jan. 2005

           - Non-Food/Fashion: Sko-Punkten, Engelbrechtsboden, Brand-stores and minimum 4 sports 

              outlets, 85 stores alone in the central building!

           How do they all survive? And is it Quality or Discount shopfitting attracting the customers?

           See for yourself in an hour, we need to go home and change for the Congress’ highlight:

 

19.00  Welcome drink in DGI Byen “SPISEHUSET”, diner and dance to “Bjarnes” discrete but

           popular one-man dance band.

 

           And the excitement, that we can hardly endure longer, is over:                                                                             

           The GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE Medals of the first ever IS-O-LYMPIC GAMES are

           awarded to the proud winners, individual as well as company and national teams.

7.00 - LATE!  Breakfast, reserved area in the Restaurant again, so our sad, tear-drenched parting

          with new and old friends does not disturb other hotel guests that do not comprehend, how

          much we have experienced in 3 days  -  TOGETHER!

 

Departure, full of new impressions, knowledge and contacts, that enriches our lives and future, and makes our daily business easier, more profitable until we meet again.
